Our team consists of three to five field crews, several draftspersons, a licensed surveyor, an office manager and the owner. With decades of experience in Land Surveying, our team is here to meet your needs.
Eric Blackburn
President
Eric Blackburn has over 20 years of experience in Land Surveying. Beginning his surveying career in Texas and continuing in Florida, Mr. Blackburn is well versed in all types of land acquisition and design surveying. The first person in the company to acquire a pilot’s license as well as a Small UAS License. Mr. Blackburn creates and maintains the high standards used in EBI Surveying.
Thomas Serbu
Professional Surveyor and Mapper
Thomas Serbu has 40 years of experience in Land Surveying. Mr. Serbu is a Professional Surveyor and Mapper and joined EBI Surveying in 2019, where he brings four decades of field and office surveying experience to the company's projects.
Daniel Thompson
Office Manager
Daniel Thompson has 26 years of experience in Land Surveying. Mr. Thompson joined EBI Surveying in 2010 and serves as the company's Office Manager. Mr. Thompson conducts survey records research and documentation review, coordinates project scheduling and client communications, and compiles the information needed to prepare field crews and support office operations. He works closely with clients and team members to keep land surveying projects coordinated and see them through to successful completion.
Charles Evans
Senior Survey Technician
Charles Evans has 3 years of experience in Land Surveying. Mr. Evans holds a Bachelor of Science in Geomatics Engineering (Surveying and Mapping) from Florida Atlantic University and is a Surveyor-in-Training, having passed the Fundamentals of Surveying exam. Before joining EBI Surveying in 2026, Mr. Evans worked as an AutoCAD Technician with Landtec Surveying and Lien, LLC. As the company's Senior Survey Technician, Mr. Evans supports the preparation of the company's survey drawings and deliverables.
Shane Thayer
AutoCAD Technician
Shane Thayer has 9 years of experience in Land Surveying, all with EBI Surveying. Mr. Thayer joined the company in 2017 as an instrument operator in the field and now serves as the company's AutoCAD Technician, preparing the survey drawings produced from the company's field work.
